Timeline 2011 and beyond

 

 
In 2011, long-time staff photographer James R. “Jim” Lockhart received a “Preservation Service” award from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for his exceptional photographic documentation of the state’s historic buildings, structures, and landscapes during his career with the state historic preservation office from 1978 to 2000.
 

 
In 2012, Jeanne Cyriaque received the Mary Gregory Jewett Award for Lifetime Preservation Service from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for her leadership in creating and maintaining the African-American historic preservation program at the state historic preservation office, coordinating the activities of the Georgia African American Historic Preservation Network, and editing and publishing “Reflections,” a publication dedicated to raising the awareness of Georgia’s historic African-American cultural resources (2000-2010).
 

 
In 2013, Kenneth H. “Ken” Thomas, Jr., long-time historian at the state historic preservation office (1973-2006), received the Georgia Historical Society’s “John McPherson Berrien Lifetime Achievement Award” for his career accomplishments in the field of Georgia genealogy...
In 2013, Richard Cloues (“RC”) received the Mary Gregory Jewett Award for Lifetime Preservation Service from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for his career at the state historic preservation office (1978-2010) where he served as architectural historian, survey and National Register programs manager, and Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer.
